Gap Creek Retreat offers short term Holiday House Rentals in a beautiful, secluded and absolutely private wilderness setting. Experience living in harmony with nature while still enjoying modern comforts. We can accomodate up to five people at a time and operate during most times of the year except the Wet Season. Bordering the Cedar Bay National Park and situated within the Daintree World Heritage area of Far North Queensland, Gap Creek Retreat offers an unparalleled rainforest experience. The house nestles amongst the trees over looking an amazing rainforest creek of crystal clear water. Wake to a dawn chorus of tropical rainforest birds and find yourself in paradise.

You will be surrounded by private botanic gardens of colourful and exotic plants. Watch wallabies feeding in the orchard or sit on the deck, overlooking the pristine creek, while admiring the dozens of bird and butterfly species. If you like, you can feed the friendly freshwater fish in the creek below the house.

Explore the extensive tropical fruit orchards with dozens of different types of fruit trees. There is always something in season that you are welcome to pick and eat from the trees! See The Property page.

Gap Creek is perfectly situated for travellers traversing the Cape Tribulation to Cooktown road. It provides a unique stop-over point or a base camp for further exploration.
