About the Property
History
The property was in recent years acquired by the Dick family; who have lived in the area for over forty years. The previous owners occupied the property for the past thirty years, practicing near self-sufficiency and small commercial crops of exotic tropical fruits, along with a few miniature cattle.
Being naturalists, the former owners kept no destructive pets, such as cats and dogs, and welcomed the natural wildlife. Today we can all benefit from this through the quantity and boldness of the wildlife.
Today
The property consists of five hectares of established tropical fruit orchards. There are dozens of different types of fruit trees including Durians, Rambutans, Purple and Green Star Apples and Purple Mangosteen to name but a few. You are welcome to pick exotic tropical fruit from the trees and eat them, when in season.
The ornamental plants form a private botanic gardens of exotic plants collected over 30 years.
Apart from the orchards and small pasture paddocks the majority of the propery remains virgin wet tropical rainforest.
Experience living in an idyllic tropical paradise!
